I’m a Lubbock and Amarillo wedding photographer always capturing love stories. I ask about them when I first meet my couples, because the ground work that is laid before the actual wedding day is important to me.
There is a specific kind of magic in the things that were always meant to be, but took their time arriving. Bergandi and Zach grew up just thirty minutes apart, two lives running on parallel tracks, waiting for the right moment to meet. It wasn’t until 2021, amidst the whirlwind of college and the introduction of mutual friends, that those tracks finally converged. They’ve been inseparable since, building a life that feels like one continuous, spunky adventure.
Arriving at The Willows Event Center venue for the first time, I knew it would perfectly complement Bergandi’s vision. She chose fresh looking faux florals from West Texas Bloom and Borrow that worked really well with the natural elements of the venue. The deep pinks popping against the rich greens.
In my work, I live for unscripted, hushed beats that carry the most emotional weight. Allowing the day to breathe, helps blend the truly candid approach so many love, with the traditional approach.
There was so much intentionality in the way Bergandi honored her roots:
The energy of this wedding was exactly what I love to capture, an “unending party” vibe. The reception was a blur of candid laughter, twinkle lights, and a dance floor that felt like it could have vibrated well into the next morning. These people came to PARTY!
I was honored (and honestly proud) that a bride so cool would trust me to capture the magic she’d been dreaming up at The Willows. My cool factor went up just by being there.
